Cotsen Master Fellowship

The JoAnne Stolaroff Cotsen Memorial Endowment Fund was established in 1979 in honor of the late JoAnne Stolaroff Cotsen. A dedicated volunteer and supporter of arts education, she was one of the founding members of Friends of the Junior Arts Center (FOJAC), which is now Barnsdall Arts.

The Cotsen Memorial Fund is committed to providing an extended working, creative experience with artists of great stature to inspire talented young students. In past decades, Cotsen Fellows have included Christo, Frank Gehry, David Hockney, Miralda, Red Grooms, Luis Jimenez, Mierle Ukeles, Remy Charlip, Kim Abeles, Michael Rotondi, Alexis Smith, Lita Albuquerque, Tim Hawkinson, Benjamin Ball/Gaston Nogues and Laura Owens.

These master residencies are conducted every two to three years. Scholarships are available to all who qualify. Please click here to be on our email list to receive information on our next Cotsen program.
